TV-Browser 3.0 RC1 is the first Release Candidate of TV-Browser 3.0

It mostly fixes errors of TV-Browser 3.0beta2 but also contains some improvements to make the upgrade from TV-Browser 2.7.5 easier.

After a long time TV-Browser 3.0 (Beta2) is a version that comes with new features. You will find features wished countless times and also new features you wouldn't dream of. The most important new features are:

• Presentation: The program table shows tool tips. They show which Plugin has highlighted the program, when the program ends and more
• Clear arrangement: Long tiltle are shorten, the default information are shorter, the column width was optimized and more. Of course you are able to change this behavior.
• State of the art: Changes for Java 6, Java 7, OpenJDK, Windows 7, Ubuntu 9.10
• Integration: TV-Browser is now better integrated in the different platforms, so shortcuts, naming, menu position, color or other details will fit much better.
• Performance: This version is also faster (and saves memory) than the previous version and that despite the new features.

Though some changes you may find some Plugins that won't work with TV-Browser 3.0 (Beta2). Please inform the developer of the Plugin to get a new version.

Like always TV-Browser 3.0 (Beta2) fixes bugs of the previous version, but as a beta version it may contains bugs, so this version should only be tested by users who are experienced.

TV-Browser 2.7.5 fixes one major and a few minor bugs. The major bug could prevent the german tv shows to be listed in the installation wizard.

It is desirable for the development of TV-Browser if new developers with different ideas and concepts join the team. TV-Browser 2.7.3 resolves mainly a bug in the data processing who led to an overload of the TV-Browser server at about 8 p.m. Additonally this update provides several minor bugfixes. We ask you emphatically to install TV-Browser 2.7.3 as soon as possible to decrease the load of the TV-Browser server.

TV-Browser 2.7.2 final is a release, that brings adjustments for the new Java LookAndFeel Nimbus (new since Java 6 Update 10). We also fixed many little bugs to increase the stability of TV-Browser. We suggest to update to TV-Browser 2.7.2 as soon as possible.

Nach einer Betaversion und einem Release Candidate können wir euch heute TV-Browser 2.7.1 final zum Download anbieten. In dieser Version wurde der Hauptaugenmerk auf die Verbesserung der Stabilität sowie der Geschwindigkeit gelegt.

Auf Computern mit Mehrkernprozessoren machen sich die Änderungen an der Lieblingssendungssuche besonders bemerkbar, so dass man jetzt noch schneller über die neu gefundenen Lieblingssendungen unterrichtet wird.

Zusätzlich wurde die Darstellung der Sendungen in der Programmtabelle nochmals etwas überarbeitet um den zur Verfügung stehenden Platz besser ausnutzen zu können.

Wir freuen uns, dass wir euch ab sofort TV-Browser in der Version 2.7.1 (Beta 1) zum Download anbieten können. Diese Version enthält vor allem Bugfixes, zusätzlich jedoch auch einige Verbesserungen. So wurde die Lieblingssendungssuche nochmals beschleunigt, was sich vor allem auf Computern mit Mehrkernprozessoren bemerkbar macht. Daher möchten wir euch bitten ganz besonders auf die Lieblingssendungen zu achten, ob diese noch ordnungsgemäß funktionieren.

Sollten weitere Beta-Versionen nötig sein, werden wir diese nur im Forum veröffentlichen, es kann sich also lohnen dort in den nächsten Wochen ab und zu mal vorbei zu schauen.
